Terms and Conditions

1.    General

a)   Registrations must comply with all of these Terms and Conditions to be valid.

b)   By registering on the http://www.pngspecialists.com.au  website, the registered person agrees to be bound by these Official Rules.

c)    Any questions, comments or complaints can be directed to Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority Representative – GTI Tourism.


2.    Promoter

a)   The Promoter is GTI Tourism ABN 87 122 809 974, Level 5, 35 Grafton street, Bondi Junction, NSW, 2022.  Phone +61 02 9028 3594.


3.    Eligibility

a)   Registration is free and open to any travel consultant person 18 years of age or older.

b)   Entrants must be Australian or New Zealand permanent residents.

c)    Anyone who does not qualify to register is not eligible to conduct the training and have access to any of the targeted events, incentives and special offers which are only available for registered travel agents in Australia and New Zealand.

d)   The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address, travel agent registration and any other information relevant. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final.

e)    The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this website.

f)     Any costs associated with accessing the website/application is the registered person’s responsibility and are dependent on the internet service provider used.

g)   Employees of the Promoter and/or its related companies and/or any agencies associated with the website, are not eligible to participate in the training to win any competitions associated. “Immediate family” means spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural, or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the employee. Residents of Papua New Guinea are also not eligible to enter.


4.    Format and Structure

a)   To enter the competition and have a chance to win the prize to participate in a famil to Papua New Guinea, an eligible entrant must complete the online training and gain 100% marks during the entry period of the competition.

b)   Only registered travel agents are eligible to complete the training and go into the draw to win a place on the famil. .

d)    Incomplete, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.


5.    Cheating, Abuse and Disorderly Behaviour

a)   Any Entrant may be disqualified from this Competition at the discretion of the Promoter for any failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions or cheating in any way such as:

i.         Using any cheats, hacks or other 3rd party “helper” applications or “bots” to simulate human interaction.

ii.         Using fraudulent information or using multiple alias’ to multiple times


6.    Judging

a)    The winners to join the famil will be chosen by a panel who will review the submitted entrants who have completed the training successfully.

b)    The decision will be made by the 30th January 2015 at Level 5, 35 Grafton Street, Bondi Junction, NSW 2022.

c)    Once the winners has been contacted and accepted the prize in conjunction with the competition they have entered (as per section 7 – ‘Timing’). After the Promoter notifies the winner of the prize, all future correspondence will then be between the prize winner and the prize giver.

d)     The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry, which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.


7.    Winner Notification

f)     The decision will be made on the 1st February (as outlined in Section 6 – ‘Judging’) and the winner(s) will be notified by email.

a)    Once notified (via the email address supplied at point of entry), the winner will have 21 days to reply with acceptance of their prize. Should the selected winner not reply within 21 days of being notified, or decide not to accept the prize, then it will be deemed that the prize winner has forfeited their prize and a new winner will be selected. Same rules will apply for the new winner (should this scenario occur). If after a further 21 days there has been no acceptance notification received, then the prize will be cancelled.


9.    Prizes

a)   There is one major prize available for 6-10 travel agents.  The prize includes:

– 5-7 nights’ accommodation in Papua New Guinea (accommodation nights spread between Tufi Resort and Port Moresby accommodation)

– Set travel dates in March/April 2014 (TBC)

– Flights will be from Sydney, Brisbane or Cairns with Air Niugini for all international connections. All taxes and surcharges for international flights will be covered by the Papua New Guinea Tourism.  The provision of domestic flight connections for winners will be at the discretion of Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority

– Travel by parties must be undertaken on the same flights and dates as outlined in the famil itinerary

– The winners must hold valid passports with six months validity at time of travel

– All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the operators.

– The winners must take out adequate travel insurance

– Meals, transfers and activities are covered by the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority – any extras that are not outlined on the itinerary are the responsibility of the winners

– All extras must be covered by the prize winner

c)     The prize winner is responsible any other incidental expenses as a result of using this prize (other meals, taxes, insurance, bonds, mini bar, telephone charges, laundry).

d)    The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable and non-redeemable for cash. The prize cannot be used to purchase gift certificates or lay-buys nor can they be re-sold. The prize must be taken as offered. No modifications or exchanges will be possible. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value, performance or availability of any prize.

e)     In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time agreed by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by that winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.

f)     Once the prizes have been arranged by the Promoter, changes to the travel, accommodation and other prize arrangements must be made by and are at the expense of the winner.

g)     The prize cannot be on-sold on auction websites, classifieds or by any other method of re-sale.

h)    The prize cannot be used for any other promotions/competitions.


10. Publicity Release, Use of Personal Information

a)    The Promoter will collect information (including personal information) from all entries and use it for the purposes of the Competition and for its purposes. Entrants consent to the Promoter disclosing information, including personal information, to third parties for the purposes of the Competition.

b)    The Promoter is not responsible or liable in any manner for any content or materials posted in relation to this Competition.

c)     The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may modify the Competition.

d)    The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability of any of the goods or services offered as prizes. The Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by it, or its agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services connected with this Competition.

e)     The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered by any registered Entrant or winner (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking any prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

f)     If this Competition (as a result of the completed training)  is not capable of running as planned due to any reason, including unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) in its sole discretion to cancel the Competition or to disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process.


11. Exclusion of Liability

a)    By registering on this website each registered person assumes sole liability for any personal injury and/or damage to property caused or claimed to have been caused to him or her as a result of or in connection with participating in any training and/or Competition.

b)    These Official Rules do not affect, and are not intended to affect, any rights or remedies a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
